Applicaa is ambitious about helping schools, and customer success is where that promise becomes practical.
I have built a team dedicated to helping schools use the platform well. Our onboarding team gives each school a named Customer Success Manager for training and best-practice guidance. Our support team responds clearly, follows issues through and keeps people informed.
We also give schools a knowledge base, guided support and regular training, backed by Product Adoption Managers who help teams make fuller use of the platform.
Bringing the idea for Bursary16+ to life has been especially rewarding. I care about making complicated school processes simpler and giving every customer a strong experience of Applicaa.
I am responsible for developing Applicaa's digital platforms around the needs of parents, students, school teams and teachers. That means bringing product and development together, listening carefully to customers and turning what we hear into useful product changes.
I have worked with the team from the first version of Admissions+ through to the broader platform it is today, supporting admissions and bursary work in one place.
The most satisfying part is seeing an idea become a product that solves a real problem. Education still has many difficult processes to improve, and it is rewarding to build tools with a genuine impact.
I am a technologist and leader with roots in the early web and a long-standing interest in continuous improvement.
My work has focused on building capable technology teams, helping people do their best work and delivering complex products at scale. I also advise across education, security, financial technology, artificial intelligence and industrial analytics.
I work with the data team to organise and prepare the information that helps Applicaa reach the schools that need it.
Much of that work happens in the background, but it is never treated as invisible. Even though our team works remotely across different places, the mission is shared: help schools work at their best and give students a stronger start to their school journey.
I co-founded Applicaa with Tim Dixon after we worked together at Greenford High School in London, where Tim led the sixth form and we both taught Geography.
Applicaa began with a problem we knew from inside a school. That experience still shapes how we listen, what we build and how we work with education teams today.
I first knew Admissions+ as a sixth-form user and watched it grow into a platform that could support many more school processes. That experience led me to join Applicaa.
My interest has always been in technology and the practical difference a well-designed system can make. I bring school-side knowledge into conversations with prospective customers and help teams understand where the platform can remove repetitive work.
The people here believe in what they are building. I value being part of that work and using my experience to help schools make confident choices.
My background is in marketing and communications across technology and education. Before joining Applicaa, I was part of a school admissions team using Admissions+.
I saw first-hand how the platform changed the team's workload, which made the decision to join Applicaa a natural one.
Marketing here means working closely with development, design, customer success and sales. I help explain new features clearly and keep the conversation between Applicaa and the schools using it moving in both directions.
I am a Regional Manager for the North, based in Yorkshire. My work in education technology is about helping schools find systems that fit their real processes and remove recurring points of friction.
Outside work, I am usually playing golf, watching sport or spending time with my black Labrador, Steve.
